Designers retro helmet
I created this as a symbolic piece which in essence represents me as a digital designer – the purpose of it is for promotional purposes on my new journey as a freelancer. The concept is how we (designers) all have a design journey, and if it was literal, this is what my journey would look like. So, I wanted to feature something cool looking and decided on a retro style helmet with a print on the side.
My original intention was to have stickers all over the helmet (in hindsight that would be cool) but I decided to keep the helmet clutter free and use the space around it to introduce creative elements (in this case, being the Adobe suite etc.). Also, leaving some rest space in the top left area for any copy I may want to add later.
The whole scene is modelled and rendered as-is in Blender, with only the halos on the glows added in post. The materials are pretty straight forward, some UV mapping, and camera depth of field to focus the attention on the key element.
