Roadhog concept vehicle

This is a personal 3D project created in 3D Studio Max (which I sadly lost to a hard drive failure ugh) inspired by the Mad Max universe. This is a vehicle where ad-hoc is very much the way of life, and so, you can see that it’s quite outrageous in presence and functional to some degree. Details such as the bottles, pipes and the large rear-wheel section (which replaced the original rear section) all help to show an adaptive way of life on the road for both man and machine.

My approach to modeling this vehicle is to use a low poly mesh as the base, and use subdivision to add smoothness and high fidelity. Keeping the poly count low allows me to control each aspect of the model and make the model much more accessible. One of the work-in-progress renders below shows the subdivision in action, the rest show the underlying lower polygon model.
